any months have passed since battle1066.com was consigned to the World Wide Web. I can honestly say that I have been quite surprised by the diversity of different interests which appear to emanate from that history site. A number of topics have distinguished themselves by their popularity. The Bayeux Tapestry is one such topic. It was impossible to do this stitched chronicle any form of justice in battle1066.com. Therefore, I have dedicated this site to the most important historical document from that period. Here, you will not only find the complete Bayeux Tapestry reproduced section by section in much higher resolution and scale. I have included the highlights from battle1066.com, again represented in the same manner. If you are interested in the Bayeux Tapestry as a stand alone subject, this site should please you. If you wish to read about the history from the first Roman invasions to the Battle of Hastings 1066, the hyperlink below will take you to my other site.
This link will take you to the full Bayeux Tapestry index consisting of 35 parts. Here, you may choose the section that interests you. A full Latin - English translation is included.
